Step 1
Map the design process
Columns for Requirements, Concept, Prototype, Test and Iterate. Connect steps with dependencies so a prototype can’t start before the concept is chosen.
For engineers
Engineering work loops: design, prototype, test, change, repeat. Flowboard lets you map that process visually, hold each stage behind real checkpoints, and keep specs, parts and test results attached to the steps they belong to.
Step 1
Columns for Requirements, Concept, Prototype, Test and Iterate. Connect steps with dependencies so a prototype can’t start before the concept is chosen.
Step 2
Put a gate after testing that waits for a step like “Design review passed”, or for a metric like “test pass rate” to reach its target, with a No path back to iteration.
Step 3
List the materials each step needs with quantity, cost and whether they’ve been bought. A gate can hold the build until every part is purchased.
Step 4
Write requirements and test plans in built-in documents and pin them beside the steps they describe.
Feature
Gates & milestones
Stop work starting too early. Flowboard gates hold steps back until a step is done, a date arrives, materials are bought or a metric hits its target.

Sub-boards & workflows
Some steps are whole projects. Give any step its own board in Flowboard. Its progress shows on the parent card, so the big plan stays simple and nothing gets lost.

Project documents
Write briefs, specs and notes in a built-in document editor and pin them to the steps they belong to, so the plan and the thinking behind it stay together.
